1.What does SWcaliber measure?                            Top

SWcaliber measures

(a) the IT knowledge of the test takers,
(b) their understanding of the basic concepts in the subject concerned, and
(c) their program-based expertise useful for programming, administration, and maintenance of a database and the functionality of the software or system.

2. What type of questions does SWcaliber contain?  Top

All questions in SWcaliber are Multiple Choice questions of mainly two types:

(a) Theoretical and
(b) Program-based.

These questions are structured as follows:

(a) Direct questions
(b) Error detection questions
(c) Pseudo code based questions, and
(d) Fill in the blanks

3. What do the tests cover?                                        Top

In the List of Tests page, click on the subject of your choice to see the syllabus.

4. Can I take a test in a section of my choice?           Top

No, you have to take the complete test beginning from Section One.You cannot access the section of your choice directly.

5. Can I preview the questions in a section before attempting them?                                                      Top

Yes, you can go through all the questions in a section before attempting them. But you will not be allotted any extra time for this purpose.

6. How can I view my performance in the report menu?  Top

After completion of your SWcaliber Test, you can view reports immediately. You have to Log-in with the help of "Log-in Name" and "Reports Password". The reports are automatically generated immediately after completion of each Test. You can analyze all the Six Reports, and assess your caliber in that particular module.

7. Is SWcaliber affiliated to or endorsed by software companies?                                                               Top

No. Ours is a completely independent operation. Our main clients are major software and consultant firms whom we help test and screen their candidates and current employees. We develop our own tests, and administer them independently. Our focus is not so much on marketing and sales as it is on quality products.

8. What is the scoring pattern?                                  Top

The candidates are awarded 1 point for each correct answer.

You will not be penalized for wrong answers (no negative marking).

9. I was disconnected from the test. Can I continue from where I was?                                                             Top

No sweat. Start off from where you left. On the login screen, enter your user name and password.You will be asked if you want to continue where you left off. Click 'Yes' and you're on again!

10. How safe is my personal information with SWcaliber?                                                               Top

To us, your privacy is a major concern. All information provided by you and your company will be treated as confidential and will not be divulged to any unauthorized person whomsoever. And as far as your scores in the tests go, no one apart from your recruiter can have access to them. For more details, look up our Privacy Policy.

11. I am having problems with taking the test?        Top

One of the reasons could be that the cookies are disabled on your system. Please enable them.
