Scoring and Reports

What are the reports generated?  

SWcaliber offers six different reports that provide in-depth analyses of a candidate's performance. Click on each report to view a sample.

List of Tests
This is a summary report which gives the list of tests taken by the candidate till date. Detailed reports for each test can be viewed by clicking on any of the test records. The detailed reports are Current Test Summary, Averages Comparison, Analysis by Skill, Skill Comparison Report and Analysis by topic Report.

Current Test Summary Report
This is an overall summary report and provides a detailed tabular summary of the candidate's performance in every section. It has three parts. The first details a candidate's performance in every section,the second section provides details regarding the candidate's performance in questions of different difficulty levels, and third one is percentile report.

Averages Comparison Report
This is the average rating report which compares a candidate's performance in each difficulty level of the module selected, with the rest of the test takers. For each difficulty level, an average percentage of all the test takers, excluding the current test taker, is calculated and is shown in bars.

Analysis by Skill
The test is designed keeping various software skills in mind. This report displays the performance of the test taker in the various skills associated with the module concerned It lists the number of questions asked on a particular skill, the number of questions answered correctly, and the percentage scored in that particular skill.

Skill Comparison Report
This report displays a comparative analysis of the skill-based performance of all the test takers. In every skill of the concerned module, the candidate's performance is compared with the average performance of the rest of the test takers in that module.

Analysis by Topic
Every skill in a module is further subdivided into topics. This report displays the topic-wise performance of the test taker for detailed insight into the candidate's proficiency with all aspects of the module concerned.

 Who gets these reports?

After completion of the SWcaliber Test, the candidate can view reports immediately. Individual candidate has to Log-in with the help of "Log-in Name" and "Reports Password". The reports are automatically generated immediately after completion of each Test.

 How is a test scored?

Candidates are awarded 1 point for each correct answer.

There is no negative marking. The test is intended to be an objective analysis of a candidate's strengths. The scores provided do not intend to usurp the employer's prerogative by deducting marks for wrong answers. We provide scores that spell out clearly how good the candidate is.
