SWcaliber
tests specific skills
of candidates. Check out our Sample Questions page.
Questions are specific to the particular skills in the test taken.
As soon as a test is completed, the recruiter is e-mailed a report.
Questions
are arranged in the order of difficulty in each section: from
easy to moderate to difficult. A Full Test comprises 75 questions
per module, and a Fast Test comprises 30 questions . The entire
test is spread over six sections. Different topics are covered
under each section. Test-takers start with Section 1 and work
their way through to Section 6.
A Quick Test comprises only one section with 15 questions.
The
duration of the test differs depending upon the type of test selected.
Full Tests last 75 minutes, Fast Tests last 30 minutes , and Quick Tests last 15 minutes. A timer
provided at the top right corner of the screen during a test helps
candidates space their answers.
All
questions
in SWcaliber are Multiple Choice questions of mainly two types:
(a)
Theoretical and
(b)
Program-based.
These questions are structured as follows:
(a)
Direct questions
(b)
Error detection questions
(c)
Pseudo
code based questions, and
(d)
Fill
in the blanks
Questions
for the tests are selected at random for each test using built-in
logic, so that each candidate gets a different set of questions.
So, any number of candidates can take the test at the same time.
A test
taker has to take the complete test beginning from Section 1.(S)He
cannot access the section of his/her choice directly. (S)He also
cannot go back to an earlier section after completing a section.
But (s)he can go through all the questions in a section before
attempting them. (S)He will not be allotted any extra time for
the purpose.
The
candidates are awarded 1 point for each correct answer.
There
is no negative marking.
Every time a report is generated for a candidate, the performance
of all the previous test takers, administered by a subscriber,
is automatically generated. A percentile report of all test-takers
in this site is also provided (within the specific login).
The recruiter thus knows not only how good the candidate is in
the subject concerned (s) he also knows where the candidate stands
in a particular group of test takers.
Test
results are not available to candidates. The reports are automatically
sent to the recruiting company. If candidates wish to know their
scores, they must contact the company they have applied to.
